AMC Gremlin

Gremlin was AMCs effort to make it into the compact cars market. As the name itself might suggest, this one is a little monstrosity and the design was pretty much just an AMC Hornet with a sliced off tail. Aside from its hideous looks that tends to land it in all „worst cars“ lists (including lists from Time Magazine, CNN and CNBC), it had a bunch of mechanical issues – atrocious handling, tendency to rust, monstrous fuel consumption, outdated brakes, nonexistent suspension etc. The design and all the problems certainly lived up to the cars name.
