Austin Allegro

They wanted to make it luxurious looking car, with big, fat seats and an elegant interior, but the public image turned out quite the opposite. It was overpriced and underdeveloped and any past owners will probably get angry if they see one. The car was plagued by the lack of space inside and even had a „quartic“ steering wheel to compensate for the low steering column, although presented as an “avant-garde and high-tech” by the manufacturer. Even though it sold handsomely at times in the UK, Austin Allegro has been voted Britain’s worst car.
