Dymaxion car
The difference is certainly felt when a car is designed by an unorthodox “design scientist” who is slightly bonkers. Buckminster Fuller, the inventor behind the 3-wheeler, was hoping that one day the car could also fly and revolutionize human transportation. The dymaxion car never made it to the mass production, as it had a fatality in a crash of a prototype. The aerodynamics hadn`t taken lift and turbulence into consideration and the car was by no means safe. Nevertheless, the idea itself wasn`t a complete failure – the car had a great fuel economy and beat the Bronx race track record by 50%.
