Pontiac Fiero
A good car ruined by GM’s plan to skimp out on components. What could have been a legendary sports car to rival the likes of Mazda’s MX-5 and Toyota’s MR2, the Fiero took a massive fall when GM decided to fit Chevette front suspension and the awful 2.5-liter “Iron Duke” four-cylinder. Oh, there’s also the matter that it could spontaneously combust at any given moment.
