Triumph Mayflower

Triumph Mayflower

This four-seater family car was introduced in the late 1940s which features a ‘Razor Edge’ styling similar to that of the renowned Roll Royce during the period. It has everything other top class cars has been providing that time, not to mention its high powered side-valve engine and three-speed, column-change gearbox that came from the famous Standard Vanguard. Everything seems perfect except that the car was not able to reach the market until the mid-1950s, several years later after it was first introduced at the British International Motor Show. As a result, the car failed to find a ready market and the sales went far lower than what the manufacturers has expected.
