Ford Edsel
The Ford Motor Company lost $250 million on the whole project, trying to close the gap between the GM and Chrysler on the market share. After the car was unveiled to the public, it was considered to be unattractive, overpriced, and overhyped. The car tried to appeal to a nonexistent market segment and the name became a popular symbol for commercial failure. The front grill looks absolutely nasty on this car and was probably the biggest contributor to its failure aside from the big price tag.
