King Midget Model III
You can’t read the name without laughing, can you? It’s alright, neither can we. Imagine having to say to someone that you own a car called King Midget Model III, and proceed to explain what it is. The idea was simple: create a bare boned utility car which anyone could afford. They actually achieved that goal…in a way. Yes, it was cheap, costing just $500, but it cost that much because it was…not a car, let’s put it that way. Scale up a toy car from Toys R Us about 3 to 4 times, and you end up with the King Midget. Except it has even smaller wheels. It survived for a few years before subsiding to safety standards, which it obviously didn’t meet.
